10 months old & vomiting

Hi all, I'm in need of a bit of help & wondered if anyone on here is or has been in the same situation? When my DS was born he had reflux diagnosed at apporx.3mths of age and was put onto prescription SMA Staydown formula by the GP which cured the reflux literally instantly and he still has this milk now, 2/3 bottles aday - he is just over 10mths old.

At 6mths we began weaning him & he has done brilliantly, he has 3 meals a day plus an afternoon snack, will have both finger foods & spooned meals and will literally eat anything and hadn't been sick even once throughout those 4months of weaning.

At beginning of September he started nursery two days per week and has had a cold since which is to be expected mixing with all those new germs!

About 3/4 weeks ago he was very sick for about 4 days, we kept him hyrdated and fed him pretty much as normal if he'd take it, in the hope he'd keep something down and it seemed to stop by the 5th day. He had no fever or diarriah (please excuse spelling!!).

However he is now randomly vomiting during/after feeds, after being either spoon fed or finger fed. Sometimes it is when the very first piece if food goes in his mouth. He seems to gag & then just vomit. I don't know whats causing it and its wearing me out. I've had him to the GP 3 times & spoken to NHS Direct but they just say its consecutive viruses that he will fight in his own time.

My worry is that the vomiting is not related to the cold and that maybe it is something to do with the reflux reoccurring?? Can this happen? Has anyone been in the same situation & is there anything else I could try? Don't know what to do.
