I could explode. In fact I have, I just lost the plot with my baby boy and I feel terrible.

He's gradually over the last month started to refuse all food that isn't sweet goo. Everything I give him hecthriws on the floor. Every mouthful I feed him he shoves in his hand afterwards and spits it out. Everything ends up on the floor, chair, me him. My other 2 weren't like this at all. I spend ages trying different things, mushing up, blending, but he will have none of it.

He had two bottles of milk a day and when he screams hard enough I have to give in and feed him a yoghurt just so he's not starving.

I dint know what to do, I'm at the end of my tether.

I hope you're ok x

We've all lost our rag, he won't bear a grudge, I promise.

As for the food, is he wanting to take control? What happens if you let him do it? Is the reaction the same?

My DD is 11 months, I did babyled weaning have you tried this? This might be worth a try, just put lots of different sorts of foods in front of him and let him experiment, a good deal of it will end up in his mouth at some point!

When my DD acts up like this I load the spoon and let her do the rest herself. It gets a few bits more into her tummy.

Alternatively I leave some bitesize bits on the tray. Sometimes that works, sometimes it sticks to the ceiling.

Thank you for your replies!

I usually do try chopping up bits of absolutely everything I can think of and leaving it for him to eat, but it generally ends up with him squeezing it, rupping it on his head and then throwing it on the floor and just admiring it there before he does it again.

I did try letting him use the spoon and he's keen for about 5 mouthfulls then he pulls his disgusted face looks away and whinges at me.

It's incredibly frustrating! I'm not sure what the BLW is all about so I will look into it a bit more as I'm happy to try anything that will make him eat.
