Hi not sure where to post this so here it is. My 11 month DS is a poor sleeper and I am not sure why. He started becoming a worst sleeper when i started weaning him (we did go on holiday more or less a couple of weeks after). Well I have kept the bottles (he is bottle fed)because I am worries that it I decrease he will sleep even worst. Not sure if I am making sense here. Well as I say he is 11 month and he still have 4 bottles - when he wakes, after lunch (around 12:30) bed time (7 pm) and then at 10 pm. I know that is too many but not sure which one to stop and how. how many bottles does your 11 month old have and what times? How did to stop? Did he/she stop sleeping. I should know all this as I have another DS but he was totally different (prem, loved to sleep, etc). I know I need to stop the bottles just want thoughts on which ones to stop first and how. So would welcome your thoughts and what you are doing. Thanks

my ds is 3 now, but i remember when he was a similar age the only bottles he had were 1st thing on a morning and last one at night, eventually dropping morning one and bedtime one was last

both mine were down to 2 bottles by 11 months - one before breakfast and one before bed. The daytime bottles were replaced with a drink of water and a snack.

My DS2 is 11mo and has a bottle before breakfast and one before bed at 7pm, that's it. Is he really drinking much of his 12.30 bottle, if he's just had his lunch? I'd probably stop that one and then if he gets hungry mid-afternoon, offer him a snack and drink of water.

Thanks. Useful to know. Anyone else?

Well my DS is 10 1/2 months and on 2 bottles a day, before breakfast and before bed. He's also on 3 meals a day and water/ snack if awake mid morning and afternoon.
Is your baby on 3 meals a day? He really shouldn't need the bottle at 12.30 if having lunch as well. I would drop that first.
I found my DS just came off the bottles easily and didn't notice it missing.

I'm also reducing his milk to 5 oz and tbh sometimes doesn't have that. But my DS has never been a big eater.

My baby is 11 months old, she has three bottles a day, one in the morning, one about 3pm and one just before bed. She still has three as she's very small and can't take a lot of food during lunch and tea so I still like her to have an additional bottle.

If your ds is a poor sleeper the last thing you want is for him to be hungry trust your instincts and if he wants his bottle of milk
give it to him,as you know every child is
different,he will let you know when he wants
to leave the milk out. My eldest ds was 18mths and still on 3 milk feeds daily but
2ds was on solids and fully off bottle by 10mths.
