Have tried my best to discourage a sweet tooth. I have put loads of effort into weaning. I have a freezer full or pureed beef, turkey/mashed sweet potatoe/courgette.....endless list. You know the score. So why does DD get very angry most of the time when I offer her such savoury delights. If she had it her way she would eat bananas and mangoes all day. She will eat the svaoury stuff but she isn't very happy about it?? I don't don't don't want to force feed. Anyone else had the same problems?

go with it. If she eats fruit, then celebrate. DS1 will NOT eat fruit and he is nearly 5. She will get to like the other stuff in her own time

THanks for the reassurance. I found a strange trick of one spoon of fruit and yoghurt then one spoon of savoury and so on and so on. She is unfortuntely clever enough to notice but accepts it more than just giving savoury....am still concerned about creating bad habits but will see if it helps her get used to some savoury tastes.

fifilottie i have been doing much the same thing. DD is ok on savouries but if she had her way it would be sweet stuff all the way. When she stalls on a savoury dinner i find a spoonful of her pudding restarts her eating.
