Wondered if anyone could give advice please. My little boy is only 11 weeks now, but my experience is that its rather hard to find time to read, so want to start reading up on weaning now, so we're ready to go at 6 months.

Really fancy BLW, no one else has heard of it but a lot of people on mumsnet seem to be into it, so could you recommend me a book please? Looked on Amazon, Gill Rapley seems to be the main author, is she the best? Thanks!

If you are going to get one then the Gill Rapley one is probably the one to go for. I can summarise it for you though if you like to save you the money.

At around 6 months when your baby is sitting well, has lost the tongue thrust reflex and can manage to pick things up and bring them to his mouth and chew on them then throw some food from your plate onto his tray and let him play :)

I picked up the Gill Rapley one. It's interesting and informative, but to be honest there is no info in there that I hadn't already read on MN or in BLW articles online.

DS started BLW just over a week ago and all is going well so far. As Indith said, I've just been letting him play :)
