True or False. They will sleep better at night once they are on solids?

Hi
I don't know whether this should be in sleeping or weaning.

Anyway DD is six months and I am BLWing. Sometimes she eats, sometimes she doesn't and I am fine with this.

I prefer BLW for all sorts of reasons (easy, letting the baby learn herself etc).

However I have lost count of the number of people who say babies sleep better at night once they are on solids. Obviously with BLW the intake of solids is random to say the least, epecially at the start.

DD is waking a lot for the last month or so, She used sleep through more or less.

So what do you think? If I started spoonfeeding her three meals a day might she sleep better?

Or would it not make a blind bit of difference?

False - both mine never slept through till they were 14 months & 16 months. (although I had stopped bf, not sure if that made a difference)

My dd started sleeping through at 7m after she was weaned so have some hope. Before then I was bf'ing at 7pm and 11pm and she woke between 4 and 5 am for another feed. She had one formula feed at 11am.

BLW was never going to work for me as had to go back to work (and had to stop bf'ing because my dd kept biting my nipples off and making them bleed)

made bugger all difference to DS's sleep. I was gutted! Weaned him at 6-7 mo and his sleep finally got good at 2yo
