Moving to cows milk/Number of feeds per day

When did your DC's move onto cows milk? DD is almost 14 months now, and so far only has it in her cereal/food. The few times I have tried to replace an ounce of her formula with an ounce of cows milk, she has gotten horribly constipated so I have laid off for a bit, tried again, same thing. It's only when she drinks it in her bottles that she seems to get constipated, in cereal/food, she is fine. How do I make the switch?

Also - how many bottles should she be drinking per day now? She currently has between 4-5oz at 8am, 3oz at 12pm, and another 4-5oz bottle at 7.30pm. In between bottles she guzzles down plenty of water/watered down orange/apple juice. I was thinking of cutting out the 12pm bottles, that'd be okay wouldn't it? I remember the HV saying she should only be having 2 bottles a day by the time she is 1 Confused

I can't remember how much DS had at that age but he switched to drink cows milk entirely just before 12 months as I ran out of formula and just didn't buy anymore.

I switched over around 12 months when my box of formula ran out. My DS is now 14 months and only has milk with his breakfast (offered about 6oz in a cup, but amount he actually has varies) and at bedtime (about 7oz from a bottle). All his other milk feeds have been replaced be meals or snacks with water. I think they only need around a pint including milk in food, cheese and yoghurts - so dropping the lunch milk should be fine.
