Worried DS is not having enough liquids?

DS is 7 months. He eats 3 meals a day and 21oz of ff, but refuses to drink any water or juice (watered down 10 to 1). I've tried offering water and juice in a beaker and a bottle and he just cries as soon as he realises it isn't milk. He isn't having many wet nappies and I'm concered he's not drinking enough, especially now he's crawling, very active and dribbling a lot. Any advice?

The number of wet nappies may be an issue. Have you spoken to your HV?

Not yet, our HVs are not available at the weekend. Will call on Monday. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this and suggestions...am now particularly worried because he has a cold and is coughing a lot.

Try giving him food with a high liquid content; fruit such as apple, grapes and melon, soups, yoghurt; anything runny or wet that you can think of. You can get a lot of fluids into him that way.
