Hi Does anyone have any suggestions for meals/finger food I can give my almost 7 month old baby. We're doing BLW and its going really well but all the recipes I can find seems to invovle pureeing at the end and I can't work out how to adpat them so I've got stuck in a rut! So far we've had jam or cheese on toast, baby porriadge, peach, pineapple, pear, carrots, banana, baby sweetcorn, salard pototoes, chicken, steak, pasta with chopped tomtoes and garlic, salmon, courgettes, cumber and advocdo on rice cakes! Alsoany ideas for jazzing up the flavours? Any help greatly appreciated - thanks

anything can be a finger food including rice and mashed potato!! Past with all sorts of sauces e.g. cheese, bolognese, etc, potato wedges, roast dinners, etc are all good

First things first - they can have anything you would normally eat with only a few tiny exceptions.

So, sandwiches, pasta, pancakes, wraps, rice, any fruit and veg you fancy, you name it. At this age making things sort of chip-shaped helps but they also love to chase peas around high chair trays and eat spaghetti by the fistful Grin

Roast veg is always good - spuds, carrots, parsnips ect. Hunks of meat, checken legs, pork or lamb chops.

Mashed potato moulded into balls and put in the fridge for a bit if you don't want things too messy, otherwise just bung it in front of them. Pasta - experiement with shapes/textures.

Really strong flavours such as curries, garlic bread/mayo and raw red onion(!) are what my nearly eight month old loves the most.

Thanks everyone. I'll have a look at our menu for this week and try out some of your suggestions. :)
