6.5mo daily food routine - Thoughts??

This is my 2nd baby but you wouldnt think it!!

My dd2 is a big at 6.5mo, she weighed 19lbs 2 weeks ago!

She currently has -

8am - 8oz follow on milk
11.30am - Bowl of puree (a 4mo jar or fresh that I have made) and a pot of fruit puree
1pm - 8oz follow on milk
3pm - 8oz follow on milk (although she hasnt had that today)
5pm - Same as lunch
6.30pm - 8oz follow on milk

Today she has dropped the 3pm bottle which leaves her 3 bottles and 2 meals. She has very diluted juice but isnt fussed by it.

Should I put breakfast in now? She was only weaned 2 weeks ago! With my first dd we didnt put the 2nd meal in until she was over 7mo!!

at 6 months our day was like this:
7am -milk
8am - breakfast
11am - milk
12pm - lunch
2.30/3pm - milk
5pm - dinner
7.15pm - milk

You could try re-jigging the milk/solids times as no wonder she didnt want her 3pm bottle if it was only 2 hours after the last one.

Thanks for that. Normally she is looking for the 3pm bottle and wolfs it back!

I think I will move them around a bit tomorrow.

Hi Mama,

I was wondering this too. At the moment our routine is:

7am - Breakfast - a bowl of porridge or weetabix and some yogurt or fruit puree and one stick of DD's toast to chew on

9 - 10 ish - Milk

12 - Lunch - Bowl of mashed veg or what we had for dinner the night before if suitable (i.e Bolognese, roast chicken, casserole) + fruit puree or yogurt

3 ish - Milk

6 - Dinner - Same as Lunch

7.30 - Bedtime Milk

I think by this age, they're only meant to have 3 bottles so it sounds like you're doing a fab job and maybe should think about adding breakfast!

My DS is 7.5 months and our day goes roughly like this:

0730 breakfast
0800 milk
1130 milk
1300 lunch
1530 milk
1700 dinner
1900 milk, bed

I would definitely start adding breakfast in.
