DS is nearly a year old and still having 3/4 full bottles a day

I think this is way too much.
He has one before his lunchtime nap, one before bed, one in the middle of the night and occasionally, about half when he wakes up in the morning. Some days (like today) though he just really doesn't want food at all, and will have more milk.
I worry that he doesn't eat enough, because he just seems uninterested in food. Also, if he too tired or too hungry he just tantrums and won't eat anything at all, like it's too much effort.

Will purposefully cutting out feeds make him eat more, or will it just make him lose weight?

I did BLW and I know it says food is fun for the first year, but he isn't exactly showing any signs of wanting to eat enough to sustain him IYSWIM.

Marking my place as really interested as I have a similar situation. But no advice so really hoping someone a bit more experienced is going to come along soon...

Today I've decided to try and only give him three bottles. He's had one before his nap so far.
Have been offering him food all day, some of which he has eaten, some which has been thrown about (mostly the vegetables).

I'm also thinking of giving him water at night instead of milk, but just don't want him to not get the nutrients, especially because he seems to really be indifferent to vegetables unless they are hidden in tomato sauce, or something similar.

I know of plenty BF babies out there who didn't take to solids with gusto until well after a year, keeping up lots of BF feeds, so I don't see why your baby can't be the same even with bottles.

My DS had a lot of bottles for a long time, too. In the end I realised that he barely noticed if we were busy and his bottle was late, so I replaced it with water and a snack. He didn't even seem to notice that and within a month he went from 3/4 bottles a day down to just one before bed.
