weaning my 6month b/g twins, tried few things but im getting best results with mainly purees that i am making.
However i feel like am just forever feeding and giving bottles, just to give an example of what they have had today
7am 240ml bottle
9.30 weetabix with mashed banana and cows milk
11am 240ml bottle
2.30 mashed potato and butternut squash and pear puree
i am now waiting for another bottle to cool down as they are hungry again, and they will want another bottle at 7.30pm.
I am finding this very stressful-previuosly posted about my fears and got some helpful advice-and everybody keeps telling me how i should be enjoying it and that weaning is fun, but they aren't at home weaning twins, i'm finding it hard.I just feeling stressed and just constantlyfeeding

sounds like a normal feeding pattern - both my lo's had solids in between milk feeds so a typical day would have been:

7am - milk
8am - breakfast
11am - milk
12pm - lunch
2.30pm - milk
5pm - dinner
7.15pm - milk

It must be double the work with twins but it will get easier when they start to do some of the feeding themselves and when they start to cut the milk feeds down a bit.

Thanks seona, i think its getting hard because i was in a great routine where i was feeding them together every 4 hours, i felt like i was getting some time back IYSWIM.
Now that i'm weaning they dont always want to eat at the same time and sometimes it just feels like a constant feeding factory, by the time one finishes their bottle the next one decides they are ready and not long after that i start on the solid food, but one won't want it so i feed the other then the second one decides they want their food, then im back to preparing bottles again-and so it just goes on and on and on.My DP keeps saying how he would love to be at home doing it, until this weekend where he really experienced what im doing and then took it all back and said he didnt realise how stressful it is.
As for the milk feeds, i did try to cut out a bottle as suggested by my HV (i have two who generally are fantastic) and they just went bonkers.

I know what you mean - I was feeding my DD every four hours and so had lots of time inbetween - now weaning I am back to feeding every 2 hours (alternate milk / purees. However, I am hoping things will get a little easier when she will be able to feed herself the milk from a bottle - as she can get on with this herself.

I can imagine it must be so much harder with twins. I am sure it will get easier. At least you have a sympathetic partner now he has experenced it first hand!
