Prawns - yay or nay?

I'm sure I've read somewhere about prawns being a no-no until 10 months-1 year, but can't find the reference now.

Yes or no to a bit of prawn in risotto shared with (food-ambitious) 7mo?

Presume delay is because they're a potential allergen. These are supermarket frozen prawns and will be well cooked, so (unfortunately) not shell-on!

No problem at all

DS (7 months) tried prawn toast the other day in a Chinese restaurant. He loved it and didn't show any adverse reaction

Maybe you should try it at lunchtime rather than dinner so in case of a reaction you'll be able to watch for it in the daytime.

Great stuff - yes, he often has for lunch what we've had for dinner the night before, so that'll be perfect!

Every step closer to eating what we eat rather than having to prepare 'special' stuff makes my life that bit easier!
