How do I know if baby has bad reaction..?

This might be a really stupid question...

I have a very contented baby, she is bf and has started on some basic purees (now one week off 6 months).

What signs would suggest a bad reaction to a food?

I am worried that I could write a bad reaction off as something else and carry on upsetting her. I am only giving her one type of veg/fruit per day and wonder if she might be having a reaction to some fruits, she seems to get a little upset in evenings after she has had fruit, but it could be anything (teething etc) but because I have no idea what symptoms of an intolerance or bad reaction would be, I cannot be sure IYSWIM???

Sorry for garbled message - any help would be great!

Why are you assuming she may have any 'bad reaction' to any food ? Just out of curiosity what friut are you giving ? and are you mixing it with baby rice ? I started off by giving purees in a morning ,that way i figured if it did cause any mild tummy upset ,it would have worked its way through their sysytem by evening ! I also mixed the puree with a bit of baby rice and milk ,so it wasnt a huge difference to their stomach iyswim. Im sure someone with superior knowledge will be on soon .
