Breakfast and cows milk..

My LO is 6 months this week, for the past few weeks I have been giving her a tiny amount of solid food in the form of vegetable purees at lunchtime.

This week I want to start giving her some breakfast and thought we might try baby porridge made with breast milk. I have loads of EBM in the freezer.

Unfortunately I am going away next weekend and the journey is too far to take frozen milk. My LO will be 6 months by then. Can anyone recommend a cereal that will be fairly smooth that I can make with cows milk? For instance can baby porridge be made up with cows milk? Could my LO have Weetabix or Ready Brek for example?

Thanks!

Yes, once your baby is 6mo he can have Weetabix, Oatibix or Ready Brek. Or normal porridge. Be aware that Weetabix does contain some salt. I think Ready Brek doesn't (check the packet)

also be aware that weetabix can cause some horrifc nappies
Oatibix and ready brek are a bit easier to digest, and a bit easier to clean off the other end too

Also, Weetabix is like glue if you let it dry on the table/highchair etc.

ah yes, that well known building material aka weetabix
