I'm struggling to think of interesting things that don't take much time and effort to give my baby (12 months) for breakfast. Anyone got any ideas?

Boiled egg
Porridge (soak oats overnight in milk, cooks really quickly in morning)
Toast
Drop scones (make in advance, then toast in morning)
Bagel
Cereal
Raisin bread
Stewed fruit

My 13 mo loves:
Readybrek and banana.
& Omelette cut up in strips that she can feed herself.

When my DD was around that age I discovered Oatibix and Weetabix bitesize - she could happily feed them to herself.

Toast fingers.

We make smoothies with porridge oats, milk, oj, banana and frozen berries. DD is two, and she absolutely loves them.

Yoghurts.

And her absolute favourite - Cheerios.

From the BLW thread

Breakfast ideas... (using yoghurt instead of milk with cereals may allow easier handling for babies)

  • eggy bread
  • hard boiled eggs
  • scrambled eggs
  • omlette cut into slices
  • mini shredded wheat
  • porridge pancakes
  • toast with or without toppings
  • yoghurt

Plus fruit salad.

Baked beans on toast?

Cheese on toast?
