Anyone getting a steam machine when it comes out

As per title

I got a gaming PC for 1.3k but ended up sending it back to PC specialist due to not being 100% happy
The returns was good and I got my money back

I'm now considering waiting for the new steam pc/console as I have a few games on my steam account

For the record I don't play games that are specs heavy or anything like flight Sims

So I don't know if to try another PC company like cyber power or get Steams new machine

I don't have a steam deck

Games I was playing were HLL and a few others
So I didn't mind having them on medium spec to make the run with no problems

I also have an Xbox series X

I'm planning on getting one.

I have a PS5 which I mostly play on, but there are quite a few indy and sim games that thrive on steam that rarely get a ps5 port. I do have a laptop but it's 8 years old now and often gets very hot when running newer games.

I think it depends on how you will play it really - if you plan on using it more like a console where it's hooked up to a TV and you turn it on with a controller then you'll get a lot of use out of it. But if you are going to set it up at a desk with a keyboard and mouse and not really get the benefit of it's form factor, then you could probably get a decent PC build to match it easily.

RAM prices are insane at the moment though and it's pushing up the cost of a new machine like crazy so if you bought something right now you might end up overpaying. It may be worth waiting a while either way and seeing where things settle.

No, it's like a bottom end PC that you can't upgrade. I'd be better off upgrading my gaming PC. It would be cheaper.

I'm fuming theres rumours it's going to be launched with half life 3 though. Fuckers. I hope it stays a rumour.
