I remember years ago 20+++ I played roller coaster tycoon and also the SIMS. Do you remember the original games? Is there a way to get those original games so I can play them? Also which device could play theme that is somewhat sociable ie not on my phone?

If you have a laptop or pc, you can download them from a media archive type site. Think you then need to mount the files in some kind of system emulator. It's a couple of years since I did it so don't remember 100%, but I followed the instructions on the site and it worked.

Roller Coaster Tycoon is available to play on PC from both steam and GOG and costs less than a fiver.

The Sims is also playable on PC, however if you originally played the Sims on a playstation 2 the PC version is very different.

What devices do you have available? I can try and find some alternatives if you don't have a PC.

The Sims 2 is the best of the whole Sims franchise! You can get the 'Legacy Collection' on Steam. I think you need to twitch at a couple of things to get IKEA stuff and all the original music but the community forum on Steam will guide you through that. You need a tonne of custom content downloads to bring out the best in the game but there are lots still available online. Look on Mod the Sims.

As for rollercoasters, the latest tycoon/simulator game is called Planet Coaster 2. I believe made by the same people who were behind the ancient Roller Coaster Tycoon games. But if it's nostalgia you're after the originals may be on Steam?

Can I also recommend Planet Zoo? It's more of a builder game than simulation really, but the animals are beautiful.

"I believe made by the same people who were behind the ancient Roller Coaster Tycoon games."

This isn't quite true. Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and 2 were made by a single man, Chris Sawyer, and these are the versions most people played and had nostalgia for. Frontier were then contracted to make Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, though this game wasn't as popular and didn't sell anywhere near as much. A lot of people didn't like the switch from isometric to 3D graphics.

Many years later Frontier went on to make Planet Coaster 1/2 and Planet Zoo, all of which are great games, but it's not correct to say they "made RCT".
