My DD has expressed an interest in these.
However they are 18 rated.
She is about to be 21 but is emotionally not robust, and has MH difficulties.
Furthermore she's not a fantastic problem solver. She prefers games that give you reasonable direction on where to go next, not just wandering around randomly.

She likes the Hogwarts Legacy game.

Would one of the two series be particularly better or worse for her? Can you recommend anything 'similar' but lower rated and easier? We are happy for her to give one a go, she can always sell on via CEX.

I'm clueless. Grin

Almost every game has extensive gameplay footage available on YouTube so you can watch someone else play for a bit and see how it all works if you need to research any further games. Just type the name of the game plus "gameplay" or "walkthrough" to find them.

I tend to have a watch if games I'm interested in to see if it's something I'll like.

Does she only have a Nintendo switch? Is it a switch 1 or 2?

Thank you. No idea what type of switch. Will point her at youtube.

Update, we bought both on CEX and she is enjoying them both.

Worth noting that ESRB age ratings for games are not the same as the BBFC ratings for movies; they're weighted more heavily due to the interactive element.

If the Batman Arkham games were released as movies they'd be rated 15 max, and the Telltale game 12 at most.
