I've just completed it, over 320 hours & loved every single minute!

You are going to have to explain for me please Grin? I enjoyed some simulator games back in the day - running theme parks and hospital etc but I just can’t quite imagine a power washing game?

Caerulea · 02/06/2025 23:18

@Whu haha yeah so nothing quite as involved as those lol

This is... Here's a dirty thing & here is a powerwasher with various nozzles... Clean it.

It's the most chill game I've ever played. It's got a storyline (you do jobs in a town where the Mayor's cat has gone missing & peculiar things are afoot), various paid DLC (Warhammer, Spongebob, Wallace & Gromit etc), loads of free dlc. The Devs have been amazing at keeping us hooked

But no NPCs, no interaction with anyone, no puzzles, nothing to work out, just meticulously powerwashing stuff whilst you get random texts from your clients.

Absurdly brilliant game & it's executed perfectly!

Played it in VR until they stopped releasing new content on that format

Agree, strangely addictive

Donotpanicoknowpanic · 02/06/2025 23:23

Not sure if it's the same game

But I enjoyed a game where basically I jet washed things

The first was an old dirty van

Then it was a garden I think

It was quite satisfying

Sadly my actual garden still needs doing 😕

IKnowAristotle · 02/06/2025 23:25

Yes, that pyramid at the end...took me so long.

Yes! I play games like this with DW. Also love house flipper, car mechanic simulator and crime scene cleaner (not for the faint hearted though).

Yeah that was a shame, apparently the cost was just too much for them to continue porting it. PWS2 isn't going to be VR at all

Same game :) first level is the van.

I genuinely upgraded my IRL jet washer cos of this - I LOVE cleaning things with it!

Yup, those bits in the ceiling were a right pain in the arse! Especially when you don't think to equip the trident 😬

I've an embarrassing amount of hours in HF1. I think I've just needed games to switch off to in the last year & these two have been perfect!

Did look at CSC but I'm not sure the cleaning itself is as accurately done. I love how precise PWS is.

Is the mechanic one on PlayStation?

@Caerulea do you have to spend money to complete it?

There are no in-app-purchases if that's what you mean? Just the initial cost for the main game then the dlc (spongebob etc) have a one off cost.

It's between £15 & £25 depending on the platform.

ok cheers

Ah, me! But the VR version. I play for a bit and keep telling myself "just one more panel/wall etc"...and hours pass 😂

Caerulea · 04/06/2025 21:10

@XenoBitch does it make you want to sleep in VR? Istg it would trigger some kind of impossible to ignore sleep in me sometimes! Like, I'd snap awake & my head was lolling back, mouth agape - it was ridiculous haha

I am not going to lie.. I have felt a bit tired in VR and sat down on the sofa for a bit and fell asleep with my headset on. That was weird when you wake up and work out what it happening! 😂

Caerulea · 04/06/2025 21:18

@XenoBitch lmao I think it is the white noise effect & monotony, I've never known a game have this effect & it's mentioned a few times on the subreddit. I've only spent LOTS of VR time in Beat Saber, though, & no one is falling asleep playing that!

Ha, I love Beat Saber.
Have you tried Synth Riders?

steelingmyself · 04/06/2025 21:30

My children like it - I spend all day cleaning, the last thing I’m doing at night is sitting down to a power washing simulator!!

One of my kids loves unpacking simulator as well - I literally can’t think of anything worse 😂

burnoutbabe · 04/06/2025 21:40

I had it on Xbox gamepass and got up to the halter skelter /treehouse and lavatories before the pass ended. A very zen game. Am recommending it my dad as it’s called a dad game!

No but my sister recommended it too. Not had the PSVR out for anything other than FNAF recently with DS2 (17). Maybe I should treat myself...
