Gaming people - Baldurs Gate 3. Help.

DS is going to be 13 soon, and he has asked for Baldur’s Gate 3. We have an Xbox one and a PS4, but from research, I understand the game won’t run on either machine.
DS has a reasonably good laptop - can he run it off that? Will it take up all the space and make the laptop no good for school stuff? I’d like to buy him the game, as he doesn’t ask for much, but I can’t buy him a new laptop or console.
Any help would be very welcome.

Not the question you asked but I really don’t think it’s suitable for a 13yo.

I’m really liberal with the games my kids play with (we’re a gaming family) but this is a game that is seriously for adults.

There are graphic sex scenes and during character selection you get to choose penis size/breast size.

It’s a truly fantastic game, but seriously not suitable for kids.

Oh! Really? That’s good to know. I’ll think of something else for his birthday! Thank you.

As the other commenter said, BG3 is probably not suitable for your DS. But if you come across another game not supported by your console/laptop, you can try cloud gaming, such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce Now or Boosteroid. You will be able to play the latest AAA games without investing in a new console.
