Animal Crossing- which one to get?

I used to LOVE Animal Crossing on DS. It was my favourite game ever and I spent so many hours on it. I have an old ds and a switch lite. Should I get the old DS one or are the new ones much better? Do they still have the nostalgic feel to them? Any advice would be great!☺️

Animal Crossing New leaf on switch is a lovely game - definitely get that!

I could waste hours on that too.

The Switch Animal Crossing is an utter joy. I find it so relaxing to play.
