Newbies to PC gaming!

Hi,

13 yo DS has just got his first gaming pc for his birthday.
He has downloaded Roblox.
We're struggling to work out how to download/play other games on it though. Complete newbies to this.

He looked on the Game website shop but said the range seemed very small and he didn't recognise any of them.

We have a PS account but you don't seem to be able to download/play games we've bought through that for the PS5.

Any tips on websites or shops most welcome.
We have the Family Safety Microsoft programme set up.

Pretty much everything PC is on Steam these days.

Download the client, create an account, then purchase, install, and play games by launching the Steam client.

You need to install steam and then download and play games through that. The main other options are GOG and the epic game store but steam has the vast majority of PC games on it.

Buying games on disk isn't really a thing for PC games any more so you won't really find anything in traditional game shops these days.
