Anyone playing / played this?

I don't play a lot and I'm very fussy about games but I've spent the past two months getting (just a little bit!) addicted to this!

Anyone else?

No. I'd love to as it looks right up my street but recently started getting motion sickness from gaming! Am going to test using travel sickness bands to see if it helps.n

Yes! I've played around 60 hours and still in Act Two! That's over a few months though as I have to be in the right mood to play it - it's not a casual game. The depth and complexity are just amazing.

How far through are you?

ShiteyLittleElephant · 27/02/2024 15:20

I've finished it and considering another go! It's crazy - I never play games twice - but it feels like there's a lot I either missed or could do differently now.

I agree that the depth is amazing. The characters are great and there are so many little details everywhere. I'm sort of jealous that you still have so much of it left to do!

@Throwawayme I hope you get to play it - it really is a beauty of a game.

OMG its made it to Mumsnet!

YES, I got it last month and have played over 100 hours I absolutely love it.

That pale elf has me in a chokehold Grin

I have an embarrassing number of hours in it now, and am on the 5th or 6th playthrough. Still finding new things; new party combos, new races, classes, etc. all trigger new dialogue and scenes so there's a lot left to do - and I still haven't done a Durge run yet.

CastlesinSpain · 27/02/2024 15:28

I'm still waiting for it to get cheaper so my son and I can play together.
Mind you, I should try to finish Skyrim first - lost count of the number of times I've started it and got distracted from the main plotline.

Haha @MaybeM - it was the lovely wizard for me! 😳

Oops - my post should have said I've finished it *twice, and am considering another go! I've done one 'normal' game and one Dark Urge.

There is no finish to Skyrim. You can finish the main quest, but really, the game can go on indefinitely.

That's how I wound up playing BG3; I was joking to a friend that it was the time for me to go for my yearly playthrough of Skyrim and he said, but have you picked up BG3 yet?

He DID NOT see fit to warn me that it can be a bit...spicy...in parts.

Spicy huh? Maybe my son would get embarassed playing it with me, 😁

(He disapproved of me kitting out my male characters in Oblivion from the kinkier offerings from the mod "Slof's Goth Shop", LOL)

@CastlesinSpain you can turn off the sex scene cinematics - I would suggest you do that before playing with your son because it's pretty spicy.

gwenneh · 27/02/2024 15:48

I THINK - and don't quote me on this because I don't co-op - that the romance scenes individual so it would only be an issue if you're doing split screen. :D

Oh I used to love Baldurs Gate on pc. I only play games on iPad now, so would love something like this.... off to see if it's on iOS
