What is the game monkey in the middle? How do you play?

My daughter is asking me to play monkey in the middle with her, she told me that she plays it at recess with her other preschool friends.

Is this a game that me and my husband can play with her?

Is this better played with just kids, or can parents play with their child?

Overall, what is this game,? How do you play? And would it be a good game for me and my wife to play with our four year old daughter?

Is it a variation of piggy in the middle? So yep people throw a ball/object between them and the person in the middle has to catch it. When they do the other person goes into the middle. And so on.

I don’t understand why you haven’t asked her how to play. IME children LOVE teaching adults how to do something!

I didn’t want to get her all excited if it was something that I could play with her
