Downloaded EA app now can’t play any Sims 4

Anyone else had this problem? Did you get it resolved? I currently cannot play any of my Sims 4 games. Was. not an issue with Origin. I have some DLC purchased from Steam and some from Origin. Years of gameplay now unavailable to me. Not to mention the money I’ve spent. EA have said they are aware there’s a problem and offered no further help. I have no SM so I’m not sure where to complain.

It's one of their most popular selling games so I imagine it's a bug of some sort which they will fix 🤞

Thanks for reply comedycentral. I had a live chat with EA help. I don’t have social media (other than Mumsnet now) so can’t reach them there. Looking on a steam message board it seems the problem is the interface between the Steam app and the EA app. God knows how long before it will be fixed. Just annoyed wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t download the app yet. I thought it was out of Beta so a bit annoyed all these issues. I would advice anyone to edit before downloading the EA app if you have bought some games through Steam or other platforms.

I hope they manage to fix it for you, it's annoying because they have been testing the app for ages. I've not moved over yet, I might make a note of all my codes and everything just in case. I hope its fixed for you soon.

Thanks. I assumed all was good with the app since they are going to do a permanent switch over soon. I would wait as long as possible if I were you otherwise you might be locked out of certain games until the issues are resolved.

With all the issues people are having I wouldn't be surprised if the switch over is pushed back as it just be happening for a lot of people, I've seen loads of complaints on the sims community Facebook groups too.

I was ok switching last week as luckily I've always bought my games and expansions through the origin app although I was a bit apprehensive I'd lose stuff.

I think you should still be able to backup your save game folder?
