Nintendo switch or lite?

FYI I have no clue about games consoles! I have 2 boys age 6 and 8. They are desperate for a Nintendo switch. So here is my dilemma. They currently have an amazon kids tablet each meaning they don't have to share or invade the front room (They do not have tvs in their rooms so family TV is the only screen). So switch or 2x lites? As far as I can tell the lite means they can play individually in similar way to their tablets but there are more options for games/modes etc on the switch. Is it worth sacrificing my peace and quiet? Do your children manage to share 1 console? Or do I just go for 2 hand held lites? If so do I need to buy 2 copies of each game? Is the switch a superior console? Thanks in advance

Lites they can only play individually, and you'll have to buy double the games. Get the switch it's so much more fun! All the family can play.

We have a switch, my DC are 4 and 8. They mainly play singly on the handheld console (they just take it in turns and the other one watches TV/goes on the tablet) but there is the option to play 2 player games on the TV. If they already have their own tablets I don't see that they need another thing of their own.

The lites can be connected so they could play multiplayer but yes they'd each need the same game! Definitely go for the Switch.
