We have one switch Console in our household, if I buy individual switch online membership does that mean only 1 user profile gets the online access?
so if DD wanted to play online she would have to go on DS’ avatar?

There is one switch in our house. We have four people sharing it. We can all get online on our own accounts. Some games though ( Animal Crossing for example) have a lead player- in our house it's me. My daughter still gets to play but there are some things she cant do.

Yes, it's for the 'main' person. We have it for my daughter and, if I want to do anything that requires online access, I have to go on as her.
I'll be honest and say I not the techiest of people, I don't know if one Switch can have 2 online accounts, though I doubt it.
