Nintendo Switch help - helping child access Fifa online and not lose Fortnite progress!

I am really stuck with my child's Nintendo Switch accounts and set-up. How have people fixed this when the Help/FAQ section doesn't do the job?

In short, he has a child account (based on his date of birth) and it has worked for accessing Fortnite, which he happily plays online with his friends. But now he wants to play Fifa 22 online, they won't allow that on a child account. But all his friends do this (perhaps they are using an adult account/profile??). I want to keep his Fortnite as it is, so that he doesn't lose his skins/progress, but still access Fifa 22 online. Any ideas?

I am no tech wiz however I think it is one or another - when my boy wanted something similar my husband said he would have to lose his fortnite progress etc.. and he did. There may be a way but don't think we could do it? This was about a year ago so may have changed!? X

Honestly, this should be a lot easier! Thanks for your input. I will silently pray that someone else might know how to do it and will come along soon! He's spent money on vbucks and changing his skins etc so I don't think we can lose Fornite.
