Playing Fortnite on Xbox and switch

Can someone please help? I’m going crazy here.
My DS has downloaded Fortnite onto his Nintendo switch and has played on this for months. He now wants to play it on his Xbox. Does anyone know if it’s possible to move his Fortnite account from switch to Xbox? The Xbox is already linked to his Epic games account. The epic games account isn’t linked to his switch as when he set this up he created a new account.
I have absolutely no clue here and and losing my mind watching YouTube videos on Fortnight. FML.....

Go to epic games, into the acct section, into connections and you can link easily. However if fortnight's has been played on both devices already, a nameless acct will be created and you will need to create a new epic acct with a different email address. Once you connect the new account to the switch, disconnect it and then you should be able to reconnect it to the original account . Good luck 🤞
