How/where to sell gaming laptop

My son (nearly 15) is desperate to sell his gaming laptop to upgrade to a pc which he wants to build himself. We’ve listed it on Fb marketplace but had little interest. Is there a demand for used machines and if so is there a specialist site we can try and sell it on? I paid a fair amount for it nearly 2 years ago but now wondering if it’s worthless as technology moves so fast. Any advice from seasoned gamers would be welcome. Tia

Don't sell it on Ebay because there are too many scammers who will claim there is a problem with high value goods.

I think there is a market for 2nd hand computing equipment but not a huge one. The PC I bought had been on the market for weeks before I bought it.

You could always try Gumtree or selling on CEX.

Thanks Ginger. Will look into those. He’s only had it on sale for a week but is super impatient!

It can be quite hard to shift them, although you don't always get a decent price some of the reselling sites like music magpie or CEX are actually a safer bet if money isn't a huge issue, or he could strip it down for parts. Do you have the spec and model? It really depends as to how much the value has dropped.

It’s an Omen by HP. Don’t know how high spec it is but I paid £1k for it 2 years ago (it was a refurbished model).
