It's an 18 rated game so definitely not aimed toward or suitable for younger gamers. That said, I guess it depends on your opinion of age ratings etc.
I've played it and quite enjoy it but I'm strict with my DC about playing age appropriate games so no matter how much they whinge, they don't get to play games that are clearly aimed at an older audience.

Oh its you Hmm

Yes totally fine for a 10 year old. Definitely no strippers, guns or hookers

RainbowGlittersandSparkles · 13/05/2020 17:15

Absolutely not I play it and the N world is is used a lot due to the first character you playing being black and him and his mate cal each other it a lot.

LonginesPrime · 13/05/2020 17:20

From what i know it is age suitable

It's an 18.

But I guess 18 is similar to 10. I mean, they're both numbers, right?

I thought she meant Minecraft is "age suitable" ?

Minecraft is perfect for his age. GTA is definitely not.

thesedaysarescary · 13/05/2020 17:32

GTA is is no way suitable for a 10 year old! I wouldn't let mine have it. It's a game where you commit numerous crimes including I believe rape and murder. When he's 12 let him have fortnite. Age restrictions are there for a reason.

WeirdAndPissedOff · 14/05/2020 14:25

Most 10 year olds reckon they have classmates who play it, but how other people choose to parent shouldn't affect how you parent your child. (I'd imagine the majority of these kids either are fibbing, or have 1 or two classmates with lax parents, or they secretly go on an older siblings' copy of the game).
The story campaign is in no way suitable for a young teen, let alone a 10 year old. It contains graphic scenes, torture, murder, and is littered with bad language throughout (including as a pp said multiple uses of the N word).
The online mode I would perhaps let a younger teen play as it's not as explicit as the story campaign - there's still bad language, you still kill people, and you're still technically drug-running etc. (Though there's no visual representation of this other than driving a glowing box from point A to B). But still not suitable for a 10 year old.

RedCouch · 16/05/2020 17:37

Definitely not I'm afraid. Graphic killing, strippers, prostitutes, guns, a torture mission, swearing, etc etc etc.

Bunnymumy · 16/05/2020 17:41

Lol.

I'm not even sure its suitable for 18s. Heck, in 31 and I'm not fully comfortable with it xD

Red read redemption 2 is more my style though.
