As I'm stuck in doors, I have returned to my old pasttime of gaming. I have been replaying old favourites but I feel the need to play something new that I can get fully immerged in.

There are too many choices! Does anyone have any PC RPG recommendations? I've loved the Mass Effect Triology, Dragon Age Inquisition and the Elder Schrolls. I'm not that interested in the combat side, I love a place to explore with an interesting storyline/characters.

Witcher III keeps popping up as a rec, is it as brilliant as everyone says? And do you have any other suggestions?

What is your platform of choice? Did you try Witcher 3?

Outofdodge · 05/04/2020 15:49

PC is my platform. Steam had Witcher 3 on special offer, so I took it as a sign and have just finished downloading it. So hopefully many hours of distraction await me. Grin

Although, if anyone has any other suggestions I'm very happy to hear them.

I play the Witcher on Switch and have played with my brother on the PS4 before and LOVE IT!
There's sooooo much to do in it - I have mine on the "Just story" setting so the combat is easy enough. Enjoy!!

The Witcher is amazing! Now the big question is, Triss or Yen? I Love how your decisions shape the world.
I replayed recently and had a great time.

For something relaxing, try slime rancher.

The witcher is excellent, enjoy.

The lego games, any of them.

I'm returning to the sims 2.

Would you be up for trying something like Lord of the rings online? It's free.

Wannabangbang · 05/04/2020 17:19

I'm currently playing the sims4, takes my mind completely to another place which is just the tonic i needed.

Thanks all, some suggestions I hadn't seen before so I'll take a look.

The Sims is always a game I return to as well, I also might go back and replay Fable/Fable II as very fun storylines.

There is always elder scrolls on line.
I haven't played in over a year, but it kept me playing for nearly 3 years. Just don't expect skyrim its totally different sort of game.

Plus you are playing with other people so can sometimes feel like you are not alone. (I never played with a microphone) some of the guild's are fun and you can get a little possy together. I only bothered to occasionally. Played 90% of game solo only interacting sometimes with others through gestures and small speech bubbles whilst waiting at boss sites. Other players have no influence on your game, so you can play without any interference.

Anything Assassins Creed from me, loved Origins and still working through Oddessy, both are very story driven and take hours to complete. Although I too am a fan of the Sims, Lego games, Skyrim and turn based games - Child or Light etc.

You like the same type of games as me, so will love The Witcher. Then you can watch it on Netflix afterwards!

I’m wading my way through Red Dead Redemption 2. I’m spending far more time hunting animals and wild camping while admiring the scenery than doing missions. Fairly sure this is a reaction to being stuck in 😂
