Contact your bank if the credit card details have been compromised

CastleCrasher · 11/02/2020 18:10

What makes you think it's a virus? Have you had unauthorised transactions on your card? What happened to your work?

Fnaf is just a game, did you download it from a proper source, or somewhere dodgy?

You need to uninstall the game, first. Then run your antivirus programme - or buy a good one and install it - and run that to see if it gets rid of the virus for you.

It might also help if you can restore it to a save point prior to you installing the game (though if you have Windows 10 this might not be an option).

And previous posters are right - contact your bank at once, if you haven’t already done so.

Tartyflette · 11/02/2020 18:19

Sorry OP but could your son have somehow used your credit card for in-game purchases for this? Even small-seeming ones can mount up alarmingly quickly.

Or is it that the source you bought the game from (via Amazon?) is not legitimate and is defrauding you with extra unauthorised amounts or charges?
As PPs say get on to your bank/CC issuer immediately.

doritosdip · 11/02/2020 18:28

Run your anti virus. You need to find out the real name of the virus.

Five Nights At Freddie's is a legitimate game so I'm assuming that it was downloaded from a dodgy site mascarading as the real thing.

Call your bank and cancel your card.

As the others said it is possible that your son bought in-game stuff on your credit card?
