XBox One games and accessories?

I am about to get 12 year old DD an Xbox One: she wants to play Just Dance and Minecraft.
It will be her first console, and I had a couple of questions:
Do we need any accessories if more than one person wants to play?
She has an IPhone 6, would this work as a controller for Just Dance and similar, or is it too old?
Any other games recommended for a gaming novice? She likes things like Temple Run on her phone.

You need a a second xbox controller for two player, if your looking at just dance you will be better off with kinect as just dance without isn't hands free.

Just a heads up both playstion and xbox are looking at releasing new consoles next year.
