Nintendo Switch game recommends for 8 year old

Any recommendations please?

DS turns 8 next weekend and has been given a NS for Xmas.

We already have Mario Carts, Just Dance and Sports Party.

MiL wants to get him a game for his birthday.

We have Donkey Kong which both 6 and 10 yo DSs like. Minecraft too if they don't already have it another platform. Labo stuff is expensive but incredible.

It’s brilliant for playing alone or with others

Zelda, Breath of the Wild. Although it might be a 12... my 8 year old has played it and loves it, and I have also played it and have had no issue with any of the content.

Also really likes Kirby Star Allies, good to play multiplayer.

If into Pokemon, Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu (or Eevee)

The Lego games are fun (most recent was DC Vilans I think but there are older ones which are cheaper and just as fun)

Mario odyssey is my sons favourite.

He has fortnite on there as well 🙄

Oh yes - Mario Odyssey is really good too!
