Games like red dead 2

Hi everyone

I'm looking to get my husband a PS4 for Christmas. I'm going to get a 1TB one.

I'm also going to get him red dead redemption 2, as he absolutely loved the first one.

He doesn't play PlayStation/Xbox/games in general very often, but has played and loved red dead 1, all the GTA's, and some FIFA.

I'm considering buying him a second game as well, but I haven't a clue about games, and tbh I don't think he knows much about games these days either.
So I'm just wondering if anyone could suggest another game he might like as well going by the previous games he's liked?

The last time we owned our own PlayStation was when it was PlayStation 2  So I'm a "little bit" out of touch with games these days

Oh we also loved Simpsons hit and run 😂 so I think something along the lines of games with a clear quest / missions?

Assassin’s Creed

RDD2 reminds me a lot of a game called the Evil Within, but you'll need a strong stomach to play it. Very gory!

Try the Fallout games (most recent was Fallout 4) plus Skyrim is excellent.

Definitely Fallout, there is a new version coming out around now

Granted I've only played up to the end of the first mission in RDR2, so I don't know if the two are really comparable but I cannot recommend Horizon Zero Dawn highly enough. It really is by far and away the best video game that I've ever played.

The storyline is engaging and really interesting, the combat mechanics are fun. I finished my 7th? (I think) play through last weekend.

If you decide to purchase that one, go for the Complete Edition with The Frozen Wilds DLC included on the disc. The storyline in TFW is as good as the main storyline, if not better (imo).

Definitely Fallout 4. Also the original Red Dead Redemption. There's a new Fallout out this week too.

'The last of us' is really good, might be a new one out by now?

Fallout 4 pales in comparison to Fallout New Vegas.
