Partner obsessed with gaming

Hey,

I have a problem. My partner is obsessed with online games. He's recently been signed off work and is on his PC from am to am. He doesn't come to bed until he wakes me up at 3am and I have to beg him to sleep. If he doesn't wake me he will play through the night.

I can't even get an hour out of him these days. We are newly engaged and we should be planning our wedding and being happy. But it's draining me. I don't know what to do any more.

I have my phases where I play console games and do stay up late. However I'm an adult and work or no work I have my responsibilities. Sounds like games come first and real life 2nd. Do you know what games he is playing. I know some games are squad/team based. So if the squad are all boys who have no jobs they can stay up all night playing. American players will also be on late, but a sensible player would know when it's late and time to go to bed.
The only friend who I know did this sort of thing was single, lived alone and would do this while off sick or on a 4 day off shift. Usually he did 4 on 3 off, so would stay up till 8am on his first day. However mostly he was playing poker not gaming.
I also know that a friend of DD that now makes an excuse to sleep on the sofa so when her parents are asleep she can play on the PS4 till late.
I'm lucky (if you want to call it that) my partner sleeps alone due to a medical condition and also so I don't disturb her, she also goes to bed about 9pm due to pain meds. So if I stay up gaming till midnight or 2am she doesn't have a problem. However if we have things to do the next morning and we are up at 8am I or she wakes me up early for some reason, I get zero sympathy.. As it was my choice to stay up. But it's not very often that I would stay up till 2am.
I've even not been gaming and actually doing chores sometimes but it always gets blamed on gaming.

Now I've also had relationships where I've been in bed at 9am every night and played zero computer games.

If I had a choice to be in my partner's bed or playing games I would choose to be with my partner.
