Board game for 6 yr old

Hi there
Can anyone recommend a board game for a 6yr old? We play a lot of games and it's her birthday coming up.

She currently loves Dixit, but I feel like we need a break. Have all the usual suspects - Labyrinth, Enchanted Forest, Camel Up, Zooloretto are favourites, as are most Gamewright games - ratatatcat, sleeping queens, too many monkeys, dragon wood etc. Her 8 yr old sister loves Ticket to ride, Catan, 7 Wonders, King of Tokyo etc so I feel like we need something to bridge the gap that we can all enjoy , so not Orchard games etc.
Thanks.....

Cleudo Junior
Monopoly Junior

I was going to say Frustration too but it seems like you've every game possible Grin

We love snakes and ladders.

I wouldn't bother with Monopoly Jnr by 8, but go straight in with the full version. Our 7yo has become a proper little property magnate Grin

Otherwise, ludo (yawn), and other games like Boggle, Dobble, Bananagrams and Uno take up all our time.

My 7 year old loves Lanterns. Very simple gameplay but one of those games that you can play a bit more strategically

Castle Panic is another favourite - cooperative

MrsJoyOdell · 27/08/2017 23:24

My nearly 6yo loves snakes and ladders, doodle delirium, connect 4, junior monopoly and the more ridiculous ones like looping Louie and such Grin

We got Eye Found It last year, for ds who is now nearly 8, dd plays along too and she's 3. It's a team game so either you all win together or all lose.

It's good fun and everyone can play, quite a quick game though, you can be done in about 20 mins and there are several different versions including a Disney one and a Star Wars one.

My six year old is obsessed with Guess Who atm

My nearly 6 year old has just discovered Monopoly and loves it

TheWeeWitch · 27/08/2017 23:37

Guess Who is a good one, as is Blockus. We also play Go Fish 🐟 (easy card game).

My nearly 6 year old and nearly 9 year old have recently discovered Pengoloo. We can all play it for quite a while without getting bored.

Sushi Go. Fantastic game - we are a gaming family and have all the games you mention. Sushi Go is fun for everyone aged 4 and up.

My 5+ daughter is kind of learning to play Monopoly. She loves it because she handles money and she likes to keep them with her without buying properties. In case if I run out of money, she has no problem in donating some to me. Lol.Grin
