The Crew, suitable for a 9 year old?

My boy is mithering for this game on his PlayStation. Apparently 'all his friends have it'. I've googled and it's a 12 and does have some sex/violence/swearing in it. I am tempted to download it and have a go myself but that seems a bit cruel if I ultimately go on to veto it! Has anyone else played it or let their child play it?

Having looked at the game I don't think I would buy it for my 9 yr old but mainly because we would struggle with the internet connection requirement and I prefer not to allow him to play games which encourages law breaking
