Ipads are too expensive for such ages in my opinions especially if they already have a laptop each (not touch screen). So looking around for tablet for them so that they can tablets to play games, read books, internet and which iplayer while in or out and about. Have you wise lady any recommendations.

Take my advice, don't get them a tablet. Buy them each a penknife and get them outside in the real world carving sticks and making bows and arrows and stick dens etc. that's what 7-10 year olds should be doing. Not being stuck inside playing on a tablet/ laptop.

Dd has a Nexus 7. I am really impressed with it. She uses the Kindle App, watches You Tube, plays games etc. She is 9. And as it runs on Android we can share the apps on my phone.

Though it is linked to my Google account and once she did send out "Let bake cupcakes" or some such via an app to every person (including work contacts) on my contact list.
