Vegan Deodorant

Does anyone have any recommendations for less chemically/ more natural deodorant?

I absolutely hated the wild one. It doesn’t go on and is messy and ineffective.

I haven’t tried the wild one, so I’m not sure if this would have the same problem. I like “your nature” the packaging is compostable rather than reusable.

It works by softening as you hold it against your skin and then you apply. I actually just chip a bit off, warm it in my hand and then rub it in. It does not work if you apply it while sweaty, so not great for touch ups at work in a heatwave for example. But perfectly functional after a shower.

Fussy works very well. I don't plan on ever changing.

Salt of the earth works really well for me.

Anything by Lavera.
Lush Aromaco used to be good but they've ruined it with a 'new and improved' recipe. Why is everything that's new and improved actually worse?

Pierregaslyshelmet · 15/02/2026 19:27

I use make waves, they do deodorant and antiperspirant. I use the antiperspirant and I don't sweat at all when using them, I'm quite a sweaty person, go to the gym and work in a hot kitchen. I would definitely recommend them.

The crystal sticks work best for me. The ones which are square-ish are easier to hold and less likely to be dropped (and smashed).

Thankyou for the replies x

I didn’t like wild at all but love fussy! Started using it when having newly postpartum sweats and it was great.

I also use make waves occasionally, as they have an antiperspirant so I use for the gym. It’s good but doesn’t feel as nourishing as fussy.

Orchidgrower · 15/02/2026 20:49

Another vote for fussy here, though I do find I need to put much more on than I did with a traditional chemical formulation, and still feel damp sometimes, but not smelly. It even seems to work for my dance mad teen.

Coconutter24 · 15/02/2026 20:52

I’ve started using fussy. Only been using it for a week. I don’t sweat with it (or I don’t feel wet or sweaty), I don’t have any body odour smells by the end of the day either. I’m not 100% on the scent but I figured it’s better than sweat

No pong is great. I was recommended on here and I’ve been using it for a few months. It’s much much better than wild which I was using before.

I like Make Waves. I run & gym a few times a week, it works through those activities.

Agoddessonamountaintop · 15/02/2026 22:10

Interested in this thread. I’ve been using vegan/plastic free deodorant for years but lots of these are new to me. Think I’ll give No Pong a try next. I’ve found the Natural Deodorant Company very good but quite pricey. I’m currently using Kin Kind which I like because it’s in a refillable push up container so you don’t have to put your fingers into it and get it under your nails. Edit: it’s also in a metal container rather than plastic. Never liked the crystal ones, I prefer the bicarb-based creams.

I loved Fussy until I noticed that the armpits of all my tops started stinking a horrible fusty smell. I had to spray them all with antibacterial spray and rewash.

I’m trying out Salt of the Earth roll on at the moment, it’s very good at keeping me dry so hopefully no stinks with that!

HoppityBun · 19/02/2026 16:32

I use the deodorant from soapnuts.co.uk

no idea why they work, but they definitely work for me. Strangely even their other soapnut ointments and creams don’t have the same effect, as I found out when I ran out and tried a substitution
