It says I never hit my nutrient goals.

Is it the same for anyone else?

Yes I do and no, I never hit my nutritional goals so I take supplements.
What I do do though is keep trans fats, pure fat and cholesterol down, I also maintain a calorie deficit so feel in control.

No idea how else to hit nutritional goals when I eat at least 8 -10 fruits and veg a day!

@ThewrathofBethDutton

That's exactly what I was thinking! I've had lots of fruit and veg but the only vitamin or mineral I've had enough of is vitamin c.

I take well woman vegan but was curious if it was just me not hitting the goals.

I use cronometer and it is very hard on any diet, omnivore or vegan, to hit all the nutrients in one day. I supplement with B12, DHA and EPA, Vitamin D and k2.

I used to use MFP but prefer cronometer now. (when I remember to use it)

I need to take my supplements and log them to hit my goals too. I take vegetology multi vit, plus a d3.

This is despite eating super healthy, home made - all the veggies, and very little in the way of 'junk' food.

I'd still prefer to take supplements than go back to eating meat and dairy though.

Oooh this sounds interesting is it free? Do you have to weigh everything you eat?

Chocolateisameal · 01/04/2025 22:57

I use MFP and am vegetarian, not vegan. Even with dairy and eggs, I still don’t hit my nutritional goals. It must be almost impossible on a vegan diet. Today I ate chickpeas, cashew nuts, eggs, cheese, and baked beans. I still was miles away from the protein target!

The iron target is ridiculous. I have so many different sources of iron and never get more than about 5%. On the other hand, my vitamin A intake is often over and I can’t work out what that’s about!

Gymbunny2025 · 04/04/2025 11:05

Does it tell you what your targets are? I’m tempted to give it a go
