I don’t think I will watch (I am 13 years vegan) as I know what happens and it’s too upsetting. Hopefully some non vegans will brave a watch of it. Have you seen it?

susiedaisy1912 · 16/02/2024 18:01

Yes I watched it, it was very good, lots of information, obviously distressing in parts but highlighted how complicit and lacking in authority a lot of the major animal welfare organisations are.

I'm a vegan and would probably find it too upsetting but I do hope lots of meat eaters watch it! It's distressing footage that made me go vegan in the first place, so as upsetting as it was at the time, overall I'm glad it woke me up to the truth.

Champagnebar · 20/02/2024 11:06

I haven’t watched it yet. It is lined up for me on Amazon Prime though

I am not sure I’ll learn more - and am already vegan- but I hope that others will see it and wake up to the savagery of the meat industry

Update

I did watch it..

it was so upsetting . I had no idea really about how pigs were gassed and how much they suffered :(

Hopefully this film will be seen by many. S encouraged others to stop eating animals and animal products

kikisparks · 07/03/2024 21:58

Sorry it was upsetting @Champagnebar i have seen a few things about the pigs screaming as they are gassed, heard the audio too, if only non vegans would look at and listen to it as well. I used to follow Esther the Wonder Pig before she sadly passed away and she really showed how much personality pigs can have.

A really hard watch, but nothing compared to "Dominion". Be prepared to want to look away, especially when you see how these animals are treated by so called "humans". It's currently free on YouTube, even if you can only suffer the first 10 minutes...

I couldn't bear to watch it. Too upsetting. But, just knowing it's been made is enough to stop me falling off the vegan wagon. It reminds me why I'm a vegan. I would never eat meat, but sometimes struggle socially when offered non-vegan cake etc. So, I have occasionally lapsed with dairy and eggs in cakes etc. I have to remember how important it is, as an ethical vegan, to not do that.
I really think meat and dairy eaters should be encouraged to watch it.

It's all about just trying our best...
