What are your favourite vegan foods?

I’ve been trying to go plant based for years but have found it difficult due to the IBS-d that I’ve suffer from.

However, I am determined to try to slowly transition to full vegan this year as I hate eating meat due to my love of animals, it never feels right to me. I have avoided cruelty free products for years and never wear animal products etc, so I’m a little way there, just need to tackle the food now.

I haven’t touched dairy for 20 years so already drink plant based milk. I also don’t eat eggs so eat egg free mayo etc. I’ve only just started eating vegan cheese having not touched any cheese for these last 30 years. I’ve started on vegan Babybel which I know isn’t to everyone’s tastes but I’m quite addicted to them.

I would love to hear of your favourite vegan food’s whether it’s homemade stuff, natural vegan food or convenience vegan crap foods. Anything to give me the drive and inspiration to go full vegan.

I'm not vegan but have cooked this several times and don't think it contains anything banned if you use vegetable suet? It's fantastically delicious

I agree. Even though it uses a dumpling mix (you can make your own) it's a really simple tasty way to showcase mushrooms. Delicious!

Fresh tofu from the chinese supermarket - I could eat the lot in one sitting!

I love Indonesian tempeh but I've never had nice tempeh in the UK.

@ODFOx I couldn't believe how yum it was- I've also made the Sophie Dahl lentil cottage pie too and that was lovely- trying to do a bit more veggie cooking (even though we aren't veggie)

If you are after fake meat recommendations, Beyond Burgers are really good. McDonalds use them in their McPlant burger.

Ultraprocessed I know but for a treat Aldi's Ultimate No Beef Burgers are amazing. So juicy and tasty. I tried Asda's recently and they were awful.
