Banana Blossom 'fish'.

I've seen tonnes of recipes for this floating around the internet and was determined to try it, but I really thought I'd make a mess of it! I am not a big fan of deep fried anything, so rarely cook with batter, bit of a challenge.

It worked out really well!

I am not sure if this goes for all recipes or just the one I used but, I made one 'fish' and tasted it and it was more or less flavourless-after that I added a load more nori, more salt and pepper and some cumin, to the batter mix-banana blossom itself is pretty tasteless. thought that may be a good tip for anyone else. The texture was fantastic though

Could you please share the recipe you used? It sounds good!

I have no idea about banana blossom but is it the sort of thing you could marinate to get some more 'ocean' flavour into it before you deep fry it?

Is it? I didn't look at the nutrition, I usually do but I felt that deep fried anything would always be a junk/treat food 😁 good to know.
If anyone else tries the recipe or any other please update, I'm interested to know how it turns out!
