How to reset a toddler's upset tummy

Hi,

Posting here as I thought this might be the area with the most expertise in dairy and egg free diets (allergies). My 18 month old had 2 tummy bugs one after the other and had had wet, loose stools since, for the past 2 weeks. The additional problem is that she keeps having her bowels open overnight, which is both waking her, us and taking the skin off her bottom as it's taking a while to wake her, which makes for awful changes. If she could tolerate dairy, I'd give her Yakult to reset her gut balance. But she can't- any tips or advice?

She's currently drinking alpro growing up milk because I don't think we'd manage to get anywhere near enough calcium in her diet otherwise, but now I'm starting to wonder if it's too rich for her too. It's all a bit of a mess.

Give her a probiotic. My child has multiple allergies and both the allergy consultant and dietitian said definitely give probiotics even when tummy isn't upset.

There’s a product called Optibac that you can get for babies - good for gut bacteria.

that sounds a long time to still be having runny poos, though. Have you been to the GP?

Yellow Metanium is amazing for raw bums.

I use Bio Gaia

Add in a prebiotic too?
