Where can I buy baking supplies?

Where can I get some good-quality banettons and other bread making supplies? I'm actively trying to avoid amazon and I'm hoping to get a good deal too, the "artisan bread supplies" kind of websites seem needlessly expensive!

Do you really need a banneton? I've made bread for years and have just proved it in the Pyrex bowl I mixed it in (washed out first).
