Tofu in lieu of scrambled egg

Hi
I'm keen to try this but the recipes I'm seeing have turmeric which i hate

I don't need it to look yellow, just a nice way to have it on toast. Any recipe suggestions please? I like herbs but not spices.

Thank you.

Thanks
Is any recipe fine but omit the turmeric?

I like putting a bit of Marmite in it.

I've got some black salt which I heard is a good way to add egginess to tofu scramble, but I haven't used it yet so can't vouch for it. I should think the only point of the tumeric is the yellowness, so shouldn't be a problem to leave it out.

Thanks

I actually don't need it to taste like eggs, I was looking for a nice taste is all.

I like to add a big spoonful of nutritional yeast flakes and a bit of garlic powder. The yeast flakes give it a nice savoury flavour and turn it a bit yellowy.

I might try some yeast flakes

I have black salt but don't really notice much about it.

I use Tofoo brand. Mash it with a fork then kind of fry it in a bit of spray oil. I add (no measuring, around 1/2 tsp each) garlic granules, onion powder, nutritional yeast, salt and pepper. A splash of oat milk. I like to mix in mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach and have it on toast. I used to use black salt but it gives me awful tummy ache 😳 I've never put turmeric in because I can't stand it either!

Oh I will add in a little oat milk, thank you.
