Vegan version of hidden supermarket gems

Everysinglebloodytime · 12/09/2020 09:00

There's a general thread about hidden gems that you've discovered in the supermarket. Inspired by that cracking idea I thought it might be nice to have a vegan version to save trawling through the other thread.

Was inspired by peanut punch and then gutted to discover it has milk in (but also now thinking of making a peanut butter milk shake or smoothie so if anyone has any suggestions for nice ways to do this, feel free to add Wink)

Oh i keep looking at the aldi stuff, i was so happy when they did a vegan range. Unfortunately most of it has wheat in it and I am intolerant. Such a shame.

Aldi pizzas are amazing. I had the BBQ 'bacon' and mushroom yesterday and tbh I wasn't expecting much for the price but it was really good.

I'm vegetarian but don't eat loads of dairy and don't eat eggs. So this thread is amazing! Thanks. Will read through and see if I can add anything.

Tesco worked olive pesto. They do a pumpkin spice one too which I found disgusting!

Linda Mc cartney frozen pretend duck. Great in rice bowls.

I like the alpro mango yoghurt pot. With a bit of fruit or mang paste at the bottom. But I find they are expensive at about £1 each. I know it's not a lot but it just feels a rip off. So buy them on offer!

I agree on the kittens sweets. Very yummy!
But I've had some bad reactions to other vegan gummy sweets. (dihorrea) think it's perhaps all the sweeteners as vegan tends to be low sugar in some brands.

Sacla aubergine pesto - really nice on tortilla wraps

Aldi chilli dark chocolate. It's also palm oil free which is an added bonus.

Aldi sweet potato burgers are delicious. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but I prefer these to any meat burgers
